06/11-06/14 | 4 Day Camp | Summer Camp- Minecraft Create and Rise of the Machines (Artificial Intelligence) "Create Your Own Storyland Using Minecraft class! Kids will use 3-D design software to build their own customization into Minecraft. Zombies, Purple trees, and flying pigs… oh my! Our AI Camp will help de-mystify what artificial intelligence is, and how it’s used in the world. AI can be extremely complex, but like all software, it’s based on basic building blocks of logic. We’ll start with basic AI apps like guessing games, then dive into more fundamental AI apps like computer-opponent games or chatbots, and may get into more complex strategies of “computer thinking” based on campers’ progress" Ages 6+ | Ages 6+ | (Last Spot!) |
06/17-06/21 | Week Camp | Summer Camp- Robotics (BattleBots and Lego Robotics) "The field of robotics is absolutely booming. Everything from cars to thermostats and appliances are all tied to robotics and hardware engineering. If you're excited by the thought of being an Aerospace engineer at NASA or designing the next robotic creation, then you can get a nice start on the right path with our camp. In our LEGO Masters Camp we use popular LEGO coding kits such as the Mindstorms, Spike, Boost and Essentials to teach kids to build some awesome creations and to program them with Scratch & Python to perform cool tricks and even some Artificial Intelligence or A.I.! LEGOs are a great way to teach kids logic and the fundamentals of mechanical engineering in addition to coding, and they’re also GREAT for kids who love to express themselves creatively. 07/08-07/12 | Week Camp | Summer Camp- Coding with Drones and NASA Space Jam "Kids will have a blast building their own personal drone and learn how to code it. At the end of the camp, kids will be able to take their drones home. In our ‘NASA Space Jam Camp’ the kids will be using a space station simulation program called Kerbal Space Program 2 to build a NASA-style space station and launch a rocket into outer space and beyond! The kids will learn to gather and assemble the resources needed to build their space station and construct their own virtual rockets that’ll fly (or not!) into outer space! There's a lot of planning, critical thinking, and consideration that goes into getting spaceships to not only leave Earth's atmosphere, but then to navigate the wide unknown of space." Our very own in-house computer and technology guru! With over 20 years of experience in the technology industry working for companies of all sizes as their software architect advisor, Rajiv Ralhan has always been on top of all the new technological trends and believes in innovating and sharing that knowledge. With Rajiv's experience, we feel that we will always be ahead of the game with learning new coding languages and helping the kids build their very own apps and websites. Rajiv can be contacted anytime at rajiv@thecoderschool.com.
My name is Aditi Ralhan and I’m thrilled to be bringing the very first Coder School to South Florida. I have over 17 years of experience in the software and technology industry, ranging from building websites and apps to management of large scale projects. Being a part of the industry does certainly put into perspective the importance of STEM in our kids' lives. At a time when technology is becoming more and more a part of our lives, careers and social interactions, I believe that coding is going to become an essential skill for our kids to learn. Coding drives innovation, problem solving and logical thinking and provides children with the ability to take an idea that they have and make that idea come to life, and then share that idea with millions of people. And I am super excited to be bringing Silicon Valley’s No.1 Coding school so close to you! You can reach me anytime at aditi@thecoderschool.com.
We have two lovely boys, who have a crazy passion for video games and everything computers. As parents, we know that each child learns differently, and has different motivations for what drives them. At theCoderSchool, we strive to help kids of all skill levels learn how to code in a fun, interactive environment where they can move at their own pace. Happy, confident kids become adults who see a world that is open to all possibilities!
We're always looking for great Code Coaches. Shoot us an email with resumé to see if we're a fit!
