Using Minecraft Education Edition, students will use block coding to follow instructions and help save the sheep on the farm or polar bears in the arctic. All platforms use block coding. During downtime students can play Minecraft in their own worlds. Students will also have the opportunity to print 3D prints of their choice. Aimed at our beginner coders! | 8/4-8/8 | Full Day | Python & Artificial Intelligence & 3D Printing - Ages 10+ Using Google’s Machine Learning platform, students will learn the basics of how Artificial Intelligence works. Python is the fastest growing language in the world, used by Google, Facebook and Instagram, to name a few. Students will create their own fun custom projects in Python. Topics covered are: loops, if then statements, variables, and more. Aimed at our beginner coders. All equipment will be provided. For ages 10+ only please. | 8/11-8/15 | Full Day | Roblox Rockstars - Ages 9+ Roblox is quite the hype these days! Learn to customize your own Roblox game by learning a gaming language called Lua, using Roblox studio. Specific hardware requirements for Roblox Camp: all students must bring in their own laptops to participate in this camp. Please contact us with hardware questions. Hi! My name is Kyra Singh and I am the general manager for theCoderSchool CT. I am graduating from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics in May of 2025. I started working at theCoderSchool in December of 2021 as a coach, and I became the coordinator of the Glastonbury location in the summer of 2022. I worked as a Data Engineer intern during the summer of 2024, but the internship made me realize that I wanted to stay at theCoderSchool. I have learned more computer science languages and concepts from teaching students here than I have throughout all of my years of school. I truly believe all students at theCoderSchool would benefit from coding lessons, even if they do not want to pursue Computer Science. Our project-based learning helps students to understand fundamental coding concepts much easier and at a much younger age. In the few years I have been here, I had the opportunity to see our students and even our coaches benefit from theCoderSchool and move onto bigger and better futures. I look forward to helping students learn more about the broad field of Computer Science and seeing our schools grow.
Hi, I am Lynn Park and I am the Director of The Coder School CT. I graduated from University of Connecticut in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Post graduation, I worked as a Software Engineer in corporations including Optum, Apartment List and Shopify. I specialized in full stack web development, and worked with various technologies including React and Ruby on Rails. I gained valuable experience contributing to large scale projects with millions of users. After nearly 8 years in the tech industry, I decided it was time to pivot my career. Back in college, I had the wonderful experience of teaching at the Girls Who Code organization’s Summer Immersion Program. This had sparked an interest in STEM education in me, and I decided I was finally ready to pursue it. I joined The Coder School, and I learned about our philosophy of project-based teaching model. I believe that hands-on learning by doing is the best way to learn programming at any age.

I am the owner of theCoderSchool Farmington, Glastonbury, Cheshire. and Branford As the owner of theCoderSchools, I was awarded the 40 Under 40 Award from the Hartford Business Journal. theCoderSchool was also featured on WNPR to discuss the importance of STEM education and creating opportunities to get kids into coding. I was even nominated by the Connecticut Technology Council for the Woman Innovation Award, check out my live interview on Good Morning Connecticut . I started my career twelve years ago, working in healthcare and teaching college students. In all instances of my job function I was always impressed with how much technology has impacted the healthcare and education field. Now we have the opportunity to impact the next generation by not only living with technology, but ideally creating technology as well. I am excited to bring theCoderSchool to different communities and I look forward to seeing students grow and learn different languages.

Jingjin attended our Farmington school from 2019 to 2023. For four years, Jingjin made various projects and applications. She learned how to code in different languages using our project based teaching. She was accepted to MIT and started September of 2023. She came back summer of 2024 to teach summer camps at our school. Full circle! She is our success story!
