Camp Description

Let's battle it out! Campers can put their engineering hat on as they build different variations of robots and let them battle it out in their very own miniature battlebot arena. We'll have matches in various areas, including an agility course for navigation races, sumo-style matches to learn the physics of wedges and leverage, obstacle courses with bots, and of course a final tournament at the end!

Battlebot Platform

Battlebots Academy at theCoderSchool Our camps will generally run with HEXBUG's Battlebot kits, modeled after television's hit TV series Battlebots. Don't worry, sparks won't be flying and saws won't be cutting off fingers, this is the fun miniature version!

Concepts Learned

Campers will have hands-on experience building different variations (over 100 variations included in the kit!) to see which version can best their opponent in the battle arena. Kids will learn:

What is theCoderSchool? We are an after-school drop-off (and virtual) program for kids learning to code - a coding school! There's after-school kung fu. There's after-school music lessons, sports, art, tutoring, Chinese, you name it, it's out there. But coding classes for kids? Founded in 2013, we're the first of many, and the largest in Silicon Valley with more locations on the way around the country.
