Camp Description

Vibe Coding is the latest in AI development where users can build apps quickly without knowing the ins and outs of coding. Great for prototyping and building minimal working apps, vibe coding is a fun way to see what coding can really do. Campers start the week by brainstorming new business ideas to code, then learn to vibe code their way to a working prototype. On the last day of camp, kids present their projects to parents and other kids, and who knows, maybe someone from a venture capital firm will buy their idea!

Teaching Platform

Vibe Coding Camp at theCoderSchool Lovable or Bolt are two of the more common tools used today for vibe coding. While each has its strengths, both are platforms which allows users to build prototype-level applications without much knowledge of code. Our camp counselors will choose the platform based on their knowledge and the makeup of the camp for the week.

Concepts Learned

It's important to know that vibe-coding isn't really coding, at least not in our eyes. Vibe-coding is a way to ask an artificial intellegence engine to create something for you, without needing to understand the underlying code. While this may create quick applications, vibe coding is often best for prototyping ideas rather than building real production level code. Kids who would like to build software in their future should learn coding as well - those who are able to combine real coding knowledge with AI tools like vibe coding will have the most sought after skills in the future. In this camp, our camper will learn:
