Our camps generally have a low-ratio of students per coach. Ask your location for specifics as it can vary. Camp instructors are Code Coaches® who have successfully gone through our onboarding process and are coders that know how to teach coding skills to kids. Each camp has recommendations around age and skill level, but all are open to discussion based on your child’s experience with coding.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Silicon Valley, theCoderSchool believes every kid is unique, and we treat them that way. Our core program revolves around a mentor relationship with experienced coders, Code Coaches who can guide our students through their amazing - and custom - technical journey. | 10/13- 10/17 | In-Person | MashUp Camps #3: YouTube Studio + Animation Studio + Roblox Code World In our YouTube + Animation & Roblox Studio camps we’ll show kids how to create their own YouTube video content using our professional youtube recording studio equipment! Kids will learn about lighting, mics, video camera recording and operations, as well as how to use video editing software to mix their own creations together. We'll also teach them about audio as well as special effects. In our Animation Studio camp we’ll teach them how to draw out and animate their own creations like many of their favorite YouTube channels. Finally we’ll teach them how to use Roblox Studio to design, code and launch their very own Roblox game! Ages 9+ | Ages 9+ | |
| 10/13- 10/17 | In-Person | MashUp Camp #2: Nintendo Switch: GameBuilder + Minecraft Server During the Nintendo Switch Coding Camp we teach coding concepts in a fun and unique way using the coding “game” developed by the team at Nintendo called Game Builder Garage! This game teaches kids coding concepts in a visual way that is effective but fun throughout, hey what else did you expect from Nintendo!? As an added perk, WE WILL SUPPLY ALL OF THE NINTENDO SWITCHES for the camp! Yup we got you! Kids just need to show up ready to code on the Switch. Also since the kids will all be using the Switch together we’ll be networking them up and playing some of our favorite kid-friendly Minecraft servers together during breaks! Ages 9-12 | Ages 9-12 | |
| 10/13- 10/17 | In-Person | MashUp Camp #1: HeroCraft A.I. Scratch + 3D Print Art + Robots & Roblox In our HeroCraft A.I. Scratch Camp kids Start with a hand-drawn sketch of their favorite movie or TV hero, campers will use cutting-edge artificial intelligence to refine their artwork. Next, they'll bring their characters to life in a coding project as interactive sprites. Also during this camp, the kids will get a chance to use our Oculus headset to create their own sculptures and artwork in virtual reality that they can then export and print on our 3D printer! Finally in Our Robots & Roblox camp we teach kids about robotics and coding using the awesome mBot coding robot. Kids will assemble their own robot kit and we'll code them using Scratch to create some entry level artificial intelligence and we'll have some robot competitions they'll love. Kids will dive into Python by building playful projects like chatbots that talk back and games that react with a touch of AI magic. Each day unlocks new skills in a hands-on and creative way, leading up to a project they will be excited to show off.
