My name is Tammy Nguyen, and I am the General Manager/Owner of theCoderSchool Tribeca location, the first one in New York City. Before moving to New York, I had a successful career as a Real Estate and Mortgage Professional in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I earned the #1 representative status at my brokerage for five consecutive years in transaction and loan volume.
As a mom raising young girls in New York City, I struggled to find quality STEM enrichment, especially in coding. Most programs were overcrowded and relied on outdated methods. I wanted to create a space where kids could enjoy learning coding, not just as a tech skill, but as a valuable asset for navigating a world increasingly shaped by technology. Coding and computers are everywhere, influencing how we live and work in countless ways.
As a parent, I truly appreciate theCoderSchool's philosophy. What sets theCoderSchool apart is its focus on not just teaching kids how to code, but also on nurturing essential life skills such as logic, creativity, and problem-solving. The low student-to-teacher ratio allows for personalized attention, helping kids work at their own pace while building confidence. Through project-based learning, students are encouraged to think critically and engage their imaginations, giving them the tools to tackle challenges both in coding and in life.
Recognizing that many families face similar challenges, I decided to launch theCoderSchool to provide engaging and effective coding education for kids in New York City. I believe in making coding accessible and exciting for all children. Feel free to reach out to me directly at tammy@thecoderschool.com
