Our camps are all low-ratio, with typically six campers to each instructor. Camp instructors are often our regular year-round Code Coaches® who have lots of experience teaching coding skills to kids throughout the year. Each camp has recommendations around age and skill level, but all are open to discussion based on your child’s experience with coding.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Silicon Valley, theCoderSchool believes every kid is unique, and we treat them that way. Our core program revolves around a mentor relationship with experienced coders, Code Coaches who can guide our students through their amazing - and custom - technical journey. | 06/24-06/28 | Week Camp | Summer Camp- Robotics (mbots and Lego Robotics) "The field of robotics is absolutely booming. Everything from cars to thermostats and appliances are all tied to robotics and hardware engineering. If you're excited by the thought of being an Aerospace engineer at NASA or designing the next robotic creation, then you can get a nice start on the right path with our camp. Kids will build their own mBots and learn to program them. At the end of the camp, kids will get to take their mBots home with them (a $90 Value) In our LEGO Masters Camp we use popular LEGO coding kits such as the Mindstorms, Spike, Boost and Essentials to teach kids to build some awesome creations and to program them with Scratch & Python to perform cool tricks and even some Artificial Intelligence or A.I.! LEGOs are a great way to teach kids logic and the fundamentals of mechanical engineering in addition to coding, and they’re also GREAT for kids who love to express themselves creatively. | 07/08-07/12 | Week Camp | Summer Camp- Coding with Drones and NASA Space Jam "Kids will have a blast building their own personal drone and learn how to code it. At the end of the camp, kids will be able to take their drones home. ($90 Value) In our ‘NASA Space Jam Camp’ the kids will be using a space station simulation program called Kerbal Space Program 2 to build a NASA-style space station and launch a rocket into outer space and beyond! The kids will learn to gather and assemble the resources needed to build their space station and construct their own virtual rockets that’ll fly (or not!) into outer space! There's a lot of planning, critical thinking, and consideration that goes into getting spaceships to not only leave Earth's atmosphere, but then to navigate the wide unknown of space." Campers will build paper circuits to explore how Makey Makey circuits work, then test items for conductivity so they can design the ultimate DIY game controller! Once they are familiar with how Makey Makey works, we will have them design and create their own musical instruments out of recyclables and everyday stuff!
